About StrickblendeHide

Formula:
PbS
Strictly speaking, "Strickblende" was described as a specific association of galena and sphalerite, not as a single species.
It was used for specimens showing skeletal grown galena enclosed in banded, colloform sphalerite.
Since the sphalerite was way more visible than the skeletal galena, they called it "Strickblende", translated literally: "knitted sphalerite".
(Blende being an old German name for sphalerite).

The French name is Galène tricotée.
