Formula:
PtAs2S4
Chemically similar to platarsite and 'UM1973-04-AsS:IrPt'.
Co-described with (coexisting) 'UM1981-31-Te:Pd' and 'UM1989-17-S:AgCuPd'. The sulfides occur in chalcopyrite-rich segregations within microgabbro and norite. They form multimineral intergrowths, but also irregular grains (usually 5-10 microns in size), in chalcopyrite, palladian pentlandite, or silicates. Also palladian cobaltite, sperrylite, mertieite, isomertieite, majakite, stillwaterite, kotulskite, merenskyite, hollingworthite, and 'electrum' are found in association.
