About Goodletite
A colourful metamorphic rock from New Zealand used as a gemstone. Found in glacial moraines and river deposits as float over a 20x20 km area from Taipo River in north to Cropp River in the south and west to the coast. Not found in situ. Also contains accessory chromite and mainly dravite tourmaline.
Found at Back Creek, Rimu, South Island, New Zealand.
