Site of lead smelter, Burn of Sorrow.

Dollar Mine, Burn of Sorrow, Central Region, Scotland, UK

Site of the lead smelter, up a gully on the south side of the Burn of Sorrow. Fragments of fireclay and slag in the waste to the right, and the barely visible outline (not in this photo!) of a ruin under the grass, betray its presence.
