Johs Nilsen Quarry 14. January 2017. The levels are numbred with 1 at the top, making the present lowest level no. 7. The western part of the quarry (to left in picture) is very rich in pegmatites, and in August 2016 lots of rare and nice minerals was found on level 6, on this side of the quarry.

A 5 mm star shaped aggregate of very pale pinkish eudidymite, sprinkled with tiny white epididymite crystals and two orange-yellow helvine crystals in front, all sitting on analcime crystals. Collected 20. August 2016 by the photographer.

Dimensions: 9.5 cm x 5.5 cm x 2 cm

Tiny, yellow hansesmarkite crystals with larger darker orange peterandresenite crystals on a fracture covered in white gonnardite. The hansesmarkite and peterandresenite are crystallized from drying-out waterdrops that have been runing through the fracture, enriched in niob from altered pyrochlores and manganese and calsium from Mn/Ca-carbonates. Sample collected the 7. November 2010.
