Dimensions: 9 cm x 5.3 cm x 3 cm
Largest Crystal Size: 32 mm

Clear quartz crystal with phantom composed of white needles of unknown composition and a pale 'ghost' of the quartz terminal faces. Other areas, less well crystallized, show inclusions of "chlorite". The major crystal is 33 mm high.

Llechwedd slate quarry, Blaenau Ffestiniog, Gwynedd, Wales, UK

Pyrite on quartz crystals. One can see tiny blue anatase crystals and hexagonal plates that have been suggested by Tom Cottrell (National museum of Wales) to be synchysite - probably -(Ce). The pyrite 'obelisk' is 2.4 mm in height.
