Continuation of the U mineralization near the top of Mont Noble, identified by tracing the gamma ray anomaly along the strike of the exposure from the outcrop.

Mineral outcrop on Mont Noble

Mont Noble, Granges, Sion, Valais, Switzerland

A mineralized schist outcrop near the top of Mont Noble, similar in appearance to the occurrence at Cleuson. A weak gamma ray anomaly (approx. 0.5-1 µSv/hr) is detectable in the vicinity of the outcrop.

Nodule showing cross-section

Littleham Bay, Budleigh Salterton, East Devon, Devon, England, UK

A reduction nodule at Littleham Cove, showing its cross-section. The nodule is located in a boulder on the beach, which is composed of somewhat harder rock than the adjacent cliffs. Concentric banding can be seen within the dark, mineralized interior of the nodule.

Nodule with halo

Littleham Bay, Budleigh Salterton, East Devon, Devon, England, UK

A reduction nodule in the mudstone at Littleham Cove, almost intact. Weathering has removed some of the outer surface of the nodule, revealing the dark mineralized interior. The pale green reduction zone around the nodule is punctuated by a pronounced halo of oxidized (red) material.

A larger, intact reduction nodule in the mudstone at Littleham Cove, revealed by recent weathering of the soft host rock. Smaller reduction spots are visible nearby.
