“Old Copper Basin” mines within the Grodziec Syncline and the location of the copper smelter plant

Konrad Cu-mine, Iwiny, Bolesławiec Co., Lower Silesian Voivodeship, Poland

Deployment of copper mines within the Grodziec Syncline and the location of the copper smelter Kupferhütte Wiesau, that later become Zakłady Chemiczne Wizów, Łąka. Between the shafts K2 - K1 - L1 and the the copper smelter, there was a 15 km long cable railway system for ore transportation. Two flotation reservoirs - the old one where on the 13 of Dezember 1967 disaster took place and the new reservoir.
