This is the east end of the main building. The propane tank was brought in to the mine in the late 1960's by someone who filed a new claim under the name Red Devil Mine. Photo taken circa 1971

This cabin was 2 rooms. When this photo was taken there was a bed in one room and an old roll top desk in the other room. Today this building is rubble like the other buildings.

My family has property within hiking distance of the Orestimba Mine and I have been visiting this mine for over sixty years.
This photo is of the main building (now collapsed).
Back in the late 1950's and early 1960's it was 3 stories high (see photo 4). The second story was crew quarters and an old pot belly stove was still in the room.
