I´m a portuguese medical doctor and I own my first mineral (I still have it) at 14 years old when I trade several comic books for a nice Brazilian 10cm long Morganite crystal from a high school coleague whose father was a Geologist working in Brazil. After decades without thinking in minerals I started in 2000 to collect them again... after this ancient passion comes back when visiting an international mineral show. I´m a systematic but I developed several subcollections: Zeolites, Rhodochrosite, Kalahari Mn Fields minerals. Now I have about almost 400 diferent mineral species.
