Hello and welcome to Mindat, where I would like to share photographs of my collection.
My main interest is zeolites and associated minerals found on the Isle of Skye, Scotland; one of my favourite places on Earth. I have been collecting there since 1988, though started getting serious about it in 1992, when I was going to Skye as often as possible, and often on my own. I have a background in climbing, which was useful in exploring the big sea cliffs on the west coast of Skye.
I also like collecting pegmatite minerals; and have spent many happy days exploring the mountains of The Isle of Arran, and The Cairngorms.
I used to collect minerals underground in the old lead mines in the Pennines, Northern England, from 1985 to the mid nineties, when I realised that being on the surface in the sunshine and fresh air was much nicer.
