Welcome all to my Mindat home page that is in it's infancy. I am relatively new to the world of minerals and I am definitely addicted. Just ask my wife. Silver is my first and favourite, but I am slowly progressing into some harder stuff.
It started when I was young, spending summers at Silver Islet. Then 6 years ago I ended up in Haileybury, right next to of all places Cobalt! Must have been fate.
I am slowly building a collection of silver from the mines of Cobalt. My goal is to have an exceptional specimen from every mine in the Cobalt Camp.
I am also collecting from some of the historic mines in the Thunder Bay district.
I read anything that I can get my hands on about the mines of Cobalt and Thunder Bay and about the geology and mineralogy.
Every spare second that I have I spend in the muck piles. Searching for the next big one.
Check out my other site at www.silverhound.webs.com
