I first got interested in minerals when I was in Boy Scouts some 45 years ago.I have always considered minerals as an extra blessing from God for man to enjoy.I have lived most of my life in SC and am lucky to be only a couple of hours drive to the mines of NC.I enjoy going to the Spruce Pine mineral and gem show and other shows in the area.I like to make beaded jewelry using real minerals, and find that they make great Christmas gifts for the women in my family.I have a grandaughter that also loves the beauty of minerals, and has started her own collection.
