I started paying attention to minerals and rocks after accidentally finding a small rock with large garnets in Massachusetts, and some interesting rocks up in Maine. I bought a couple of books, was intrigued by some of the minerals in them, and started scouring Ebay for affordable specimens. From there, I started looking into local locations that were beginner-friendly.

I am trying to learn more about New England locations, but am not having much luck. As I learn, I try to add info to various New England location pages.
