Born in 1967 in Wijlre a village in the most southern part of the Netherlands (just a few kilometers from the German border) and still living there with my wife and two sons.
Since childhood, I have a passion for earth science, chemistry and astronomy.
Starting as fossil collector at the age of 9, i started collecting minerals in 1991.
First i started as regional collector (Eifel area) and moved on to become a systematic collector, with some 1300 different species, but my focus nowadays is on high quality classic specimens from Germany and England.
Working as a part-time mineral dealer since 2009.
