And a special thanks to you if you've never donated before. Whether your donation is large or small it's helping keep mindat.org running a little bit longer.
Maybe you did not realise that mindat.org relies almost entirely on donations from people such as you to continue, but we prefer it this way, not stuffed full of obnoxious ads.
For larger donations you may prefer to do a bank transfer or to post us a check. This also helps reduce the transaction costs for us. Please contact us at info@hudsonmineralogy.org for our bank account details.
Or, you can send a check made payable to mindat.org to:

What is the Hudson Institute of Mineralogy?
The Hudson Institute of Mineralogy was formed in 2003 to offer expanded public outreach and dissemination of mineral specimens and mineralogical information at no charge to earth science teachers, students and the general public. In the ensuing dozen years since its inception, thousands of mineral specimens and significant amounts of laboratory equipment have been obtained and subsequently donated by the Institute to advance mineralogical education and awareness. The designation of Mindat.org activities as the major outreach effort of the Hudson Institute is a logical step in the development of both organizations, and it also provides Mindat.org with additional, tax exempt funding opportunities to ensure its long-term viability. The operations management of Mindat.org remains unchanged, and several Mindat managers have joined the Board of Directors of the Hudson Institute of Mineralogy.
The board members of the Hudson Institute of Mineralogy are Jolyon Ralph (Mindat founder), Ida Chau (co-founder) as well as Mindat managers Tony Nikischer, David Von Bargen, Vandall King, Alfredo Petrov, Gail and Jim Spann and Robert Woodside
