On February 12, 1947 at 10:30 pm, witnesses of the Sikhote-Alin Cordillera in the USSR observed a body brighter than the sun enter the atmosphere at a speed of 14 km / s, the meteorite began to disintegrate, the most large mass seemed to explode violently. The bright flash and the deafening shock of the fall were observed in a radius of 300 km around the point of impact. Beautiful oriented specimen.
