Description
Haylite Opals are some of the most bizarre minerals out there. They look like gel, but feel like acrylic. This specimen is especially glassy with no matrix or opaque areas. It has incredible luster and the transparency is mostly like glass. There is some red mineral staining in the crevices of some of the blobs which look just like saffron threads. An excellent specimen with no damage.
