“From a new find (2010), these must be among the very finest examples known for this unusual manganese sulfide! Semi-lustrous black octahedral crystals to 2.3 cm in size are completely covering the front of a 7.0 x 6.2 x 3.1 cm matrix. Very slight chipping is present, as seen in the photos. Still, these are huge crystals for the species! The largest crystal shows twinning. Ref: The Mineralogical Record; 28: 37-62.”
