1.75mm group of acicular monazite-(Ce) crystals on clinochlore with quartz. The formation of these acicular crystal appears to be the result of the breakdown of the more usual platy crystals; the monazite is then redeposited as this rare acicular habit. Remnants of the pre-existing form are noted on some specimens collected from this mine.
