Kyanite

Locality: São José da Safira, Doce valley, Minas Gerais, Brazil

11.0 x 9.1 x 7.6 cm. A couple dozen sharp blue crystals of kyanite embedded in and jutting out from a matrix of quartz. The crystals measure to over 6 cm. Most are TERMINATED, with the typical rough terminations you see on these.
