Hedyphane


Hedyphane : Pb3Ca2[Cl|(AsO4)3]

Knob of white aragonite completely covered with yellow-brown mimetite. Originally acquired from Bob Jones in 1975, with later note in 1987 stating that Jones believes it to be the Hedyphane variety of Mimetite - not pyromorphite as originally labeled. Ex. Dr. E. Sensel collection #G 442. Overall size of mineral specimen: 7x6x5 cm. Size of individual crystals: 1-4 mm.
