“Have you ever seen a Michigan celestine this good?? In fact, this large and 3-dimensional specimen could hardly be better. The crystals are large, textbook in form, lustrous, well-terminated, and the specimen is equally perfect from both sides! The crysatls splay out from a common center and the piece has more aesthetics to it than you could reasonably expect in this usually clunky material. In this one case, I'd actually call a piece from here "elegant". In person, the crystals are actually quite transparent in many places, which the camera did not pick up . The color graduates to a very faint pastel blue-gray towards the terminations. This was the best specimen from a very small recent find that was brought to the Costa Mesa show. There are very few celestites that can ever be considered to have a place in a great collection, and this is one. 10.5 x 10 x 4.7 cm
