An extremely rare example of the softest mineral replacing one of the harder species, and from the only place I know of from which it occurs - this ancient mining area in Bavaria. The locaiton is now long-defunct and most specimens are of very old heritage, having traveled through many collections to get down to us in the present day. I buy every one I see as they are just too mineralogically interesting to pass up! AND FEW ARE AS VISUALLY APPEALING AS THIS ONE, TOO. This one features two sharp crystals to 2.2 x 1.5 x 1.5 cm, rising out of massive talc matrix (with a smaller sidecar crystal present as well). It is a fine miniature 5 x 3.6 x 3 cm
