Rather big (and hot) monazite, crystals embedded in feldspar between annite packs. Specimen 25 x 40 x 80, the lower crystal is 25 mm long. A. Österlöf collection no 1391

Biggest fergusonite crystal from the Ruoutevare pegmatites which I have in my collection.. The biggest I have found is something like 60mm (now at NRM)- the specimen was just too big (30 cm). to keep. Here is a pair of crystals growing close together and in fact a third one is broken. Left of them are 5 broken xx growing together with zircone ...

About 6.1 mm grain of bastnasite-(Ce) in quartzeous pegmatite. The yellow earthy coating is yet unidentified (could be thorogummite or kasolite, maybe?). Specimen obtained at Tisnov show, May 2008.

Typical fergusonite crystals from the Routevare pegmatites in Jokkmokk. They are always directly connected to the biotite layer and most often either growing perpendicular to or parallell to the biotite layer. Sometimes they are at found with another angle. Crystal sizes 10 mm and 13 mm long (the damaged one). 3 smaller ones- specimen 30x 50x 50 ...
