Here we have a specimen of gem Green Serpentine from Montville, New Jersey. Ex. Rutgers Geological Museum collection. It measures 5 1/4 x 4 1/2 inches. Specimen #624 of the Eric Stanchich NJ mineral collection.
Chatoyant vein of dense, translucent, fibrous, light orangish-pink colored chrysotile in a yellow serpentine matrix.
