Lustrous black rounded grains of Mianningite (Romanite) with minor zones of Cleusonite in border zone of granitic pegmatite crosscut amphibolite rocks. Lustrous sections of tabular crystals of black romanite in greenish amphibolite matrix. Associating mineral is redish-brown granular secondary rutile, replacing romanite grains.
