A centrally located pod of bronze-colored valleriite microcrystals on matrix is very nicely accented by iridescent purple and blue bornite from the War Eagle Mine, Yukon Territory, Canada. 15.0 x 12.3 x 1.5 cm. Valleriite is an uncommon sulfosalt. This is a significant, very rich and large polished slab of iridescent golden valleriite microcrystals coursing through the greenish serpentine matrix. Outstanding, rich and rare material from this obscure sulfide ore locality.

Valleriite. Not sure who I got this from but it is a chunk of copper ore from Whitehorse Copper Area showing valleriite, bornite and magnetite. The piece is laced with patches, smears and veinlets of valleriite. Interestingly there are some valleriite-coated or pseudo'd dodecahedra on part of the specimen, as well.
