Celestine
Sakoany deposit, Katsepy Commune, Mitsinjo District, Boeny, Madagascar
It is very difficult to remove gemmy, undamaged, clusters of celestine, like this one, from the large geodes in which they form. The arrangement of the lustrous, transparent, sky blue, prismatic crystals, to 6.0 cm in length makes this a fine specimen.
