A vein of tourmaline (probably schorl) in altered granite with quartz. The tourmaline vein shows cassiterite shot through it, although difficult to discern in a general view of the specimen. Collected from part of the Basset & Grylls Mine site in February 2019.
Close view of tourmaline vein, small patches of brown cassiterite can be seen.
