Pyrite
Gyudyurska deposit, Gyudyurska mine, Erma Reka, Zlatograd Municipality, Smolyan Province, Bulgaria
6.0 x 5.8 x 4.2 cm. An outstanding, large, floater pyrite crystal from this very obscure Madan ore field deposit, from where specimens are rare. The pyritohedron has textbook form, splendent brass-yellow color and striking striations on all sides. An exceptional 360-degree pyrite that compares favorably with those from the Huanzala Mine of Peru.
