Hedenbergite

Yxsjöberg Mine, Yxsjö ore field, Ljusnarsberg, Örebro County, Sweden

Its crystallization is extraordinary. Partially doubly terminated, the crystal is formed by a prism and a dipyramide on the terminations, one of them incomplete. Faces and edges are very well defined. The locality is also uncommon.Yxsjöberg Mine, Yxsjö, Ljusnarsberg, Västmanland, Sweden.Specimen size: 3 x 1.8 x 2.1 cmWith handwritten label from ...

Scheelite

Yxsjöberg Mine, Yxsjö ore field, Ljusnarsberg, Örebro County, Sweden

Little pieces of scheelite in matrix. Unlike usual, the scheelite fluoresces yellow under both shortwave and midwave, probably due to a very high molybdenum content. Maybe powellite? Shortwave fluorescence.

Scheelite, Grossular

Yxsjöberg Mine, Yxsjö ore field, Ljusnarsberg, Örebro County, Sweden
