Baryte, Calcite, Marcasite

Genna-Tres Montis Mine, Silius, South Sardinia Province, Sardinia, Italy

Actually Genna-Tres Montis shaft, or mine, into the Silius vein. Need to add this locality. Quite unusual barite obtained from local expert Giorgio Spiga, who says Genna-Tres Montis was a separate mine very near the better known Muscadroxiu mine, run by same company but with separate management. Glassy somewhat complex yellow crystal, 4.5 cm, with amber phantom and smaller crystals plus small calcite rhombohedrons. 7x7x4 cm overall. Both barite and calcite fluoresce.
