Two Ammonite impressions on a thin slab of jurassic Mulheim member of the Solnhofen limestone. There are manganese oxide dendrites throughout the slab. The smaller ammonite has an in situ aptychus. Behind the larger ammonite on the other side of the slab is a floating crinoid (Saccocoma) fossil preserved by calcite.

Two Ammonite impressions on a thin slab of jurassic Mulheim member of the Solnhofen limestone. There are manganese oxide dendrites throughout the slab. The smaller ammonite has an in situ aptychus. Behind the larger ammonite on the other side of the slab is a floating crinoid (Saccocoma) fossil preserved by calcite.
