“Red microcrystals of Parkinsonite on a complex matrix consisting of Mendipite with Lead rich Aragonite balls. This sample dates to the find in the 90's and therefore does not conform to what many regard as typical Parkinsonite specimens such as those found during the 70's. In examples such as this, the Mendipite has been described as 'scruffy' due to its more weathered appearance. The parkinsonite from these samples has been observed in varying colourations ranging from orange/brown, to deep red and in a some rare instances, black.
Specimen analysed at the Cardiff Museum.
