“This is one large corundum var. ruby, weighing just over one pound. It is a complete, doubly-terminated floater with good luster and superb, saturated color of pigeon’s blood red. The hexagonal form is well-developed but elegant for such a large beast, in that it tapers gently from teh center to the terminations. The crystal IS a complete floater, in tact all around even on the terminations.
