For those who haven't heard of Steve Etches before, throughout his 35 yrs of collecting he has been a plumber. Pretty amazing man.

Thank you Jolyon

Great article as always.
That is a remarkable achievement for someone self taught and an inspiring private museum.
Congrats to Steve Etches are also in order.

Yet another museum to add to my bucket list.
Cheers

The museum will be shut from Thursday for at least a month due to the new Coronavirus restrictions. Please consider supporting this very worthy museum during these tough times.

Hi Jolyon! Are museums still open in Britain? Here in Italy they are all closed in the whole national territory! As you know, Italy was divided in three main zones: yellow (low danger), orange (quite strong danger, just Puglia and Sicily belong to this zone) and red (very strong danger, Piemonte, Lombardy, Aosta Valley and Calabria belong to thi s zone... sob, I am in Lombardy!). In red zones we aren't even allowed to go out of home without a self-documentation! Shops (but for chemists and food ones) are all closed, including pubs and restaurants! Ok, let's hope it gets over quickly. Greetings from Italy by Riccardo.

They are now all closed (as of Thursday 5th of November) for at least 1 month.
