Donate to Mindat.org

There are various ways you can help donate to mindat.org.

The most important is to donate knowledge. If you're an expert in the mineralogy of a particular area then we'd be delighted to have your contributions of information. Even if you don't regard yourself as an expert, we would love to see your mineral photographs uploaded here (remember, they remain your copyright so you're not really donating them).

We would also love to have old books, periodicals, old labels, mineral-related postage stamps, share certificates, photographic prints, all sorts of things like this can be used to help grow our database of information that's freely available to everyone interested in minerals around the world. - Click here if you'd like to send us something

Please note we no longer need cash donations from individual users - the site is now fully funded by advertising (although if you are a dealer and wish to advertise in order to support mindat.org, we are very grateful for this). If you really insist on making a donation then please contact me as there may be individual projects that your money can be used for (for example, helping to scan in more books for free distribution). Of course, you could always send me a mineral for my collection - always welcome!
