Please help keep mindat.org running free

Thank you for offering to help!

And a special thanks to you if you've never donated before. Whether your donation is large or small it's helping keep mindat.org running a little bit longer.

Maybe you did not realise that mindat.org relies almost entirely on donations from people such as you to continue, but we prefer it this way, not stuffed full of obnoxious ads.

For larger donations you may prefer to do a bank transfer or to post us a check. This also helps reduce the transaction costs for us. Please contact us at info@hudsonmineralogy.org for our bank account details.

Or, you can send a check made payable to mindat.org to:

Hudson Institute of Mineralogy dba Mindat.org
1113 Cambridge Hill Lane
Keswick, VA 22947-2749, USA

If you wish to pay by credit card, use this form, and on the PayPal payment page, click the option that says 'Pay with a debit or credit card'. You do NOT need a PayPal account to pay this way.

Supporting mindat.org in your will

None of us want to think about what happens after we go, but it will happen to us all. You might not want to make a substantial donation to mindat, but please consider a smaller contribution - for example if you intend your collection to be sold, perhaps agree a percentage of the sale value to go to mindat.org. We can help promote such a sale bringing in greater value for all beneficiaries. Perhaps you'd also like to pass on to us your books and journals - this would be very much appreciated. Please remember the beneficiary is The Hudson Institute of Mineralogy d.b.a. mindat.org.

Other Donations

There are various ways you can help donate to mindat.org.

You can donate specimens for auction, all funds raised go towards supporting mindat.org.

We would also love to have old books, periodicals, old labels, mineral-related postage stamps, share certificates, photographic prints, all sorts of things like this can be used to help grow our database of information that's freely available to everyone interested in minerals around the world. - Click here if you'd like to send us something

If you'd like to make a more substantial cash donation to mindat.org, then please contact us. Your donations help us to improve the site, giving us more time to add the neat features you want to see. And those making significant donations can help decide what the money is used for (something new you'd like to see? perhaps we can write it for you!).
