I am not sure this is sufficient evidence that stibnite should be added to the list. The association of the needles with sulfides doesn't mean these minerals were deposited at the same time (I am assuming this would be your reason for favoring stibnite over rutile). What if rutile occured in a host rock that was later replaced by pyrite and sphalerite? Even if we assume that these needles were a sulfide, what about other possibilities, like jamesonite or zinkenite?
I would think a photograph, analysis, or reference would be needed here. Can you find these specimens, or go back and collect some more?
