Bought this about 10 years ago in a rock and mineral shop. Dont have a clue to what it is.

Quartz does scratch it.

It can scratch fluorite.

I did a bunch of searching and it looks like Dioptase (Hardness of 5). Cant be sure though, I dont know much

Yes Daniel! You are correct! It is dioptase, probably from the type location, Altyn Tyube, Kazakhstan.

Correct, its Dioptase. And judging from the matrix (coarse crystalline Calcite), indeed it's most probably from the type-locality of Altyn-Tyube, Kazakhstan.
