Anyone have a guess as to what these green to aqua colored spheres on quartz are? I don't know the location of the specimen.

Looks like cookeite from http://www.mindat.org/loc-3421.html

Well, must admit, Cookeite from Stand on your heard was the first thing that came to my mind as well.

They made quite a splash when they first showed up, and I recall being a bit skeptical of them at first TBPH. At that point I already had an example from Arkansas, from Clouds mine in Pulaski Co., and was little difference from kind of material at the Maine localities other than it's pale yellow/green coloration. (of course they did prove to be legit and were apparently found previously sometime in the 70's, which I was completely unaware of at the time and apparently these nice little spheres were also noted as occurring at the cloud mine as well [can't confirm-hearsay]).

You'd think little blue-green blobs of (?) on needle quartz might be kinda of a common thing, but I'm actually having trouble thinking of a possible look-alike.
