GeneralMy Home Page

I think I am ready to start using the mindat 'My Home Page' to catalog my collection and enter my photos. I have a couple of questions before I start so I don't muck up the works.

1. Is there a tutorial for this somewhere or is it assumed it is intuitive

2. My photos would likely not be of the quality to utilize in Mindat, but would only serve to document my collection. Can I enter photos that will only be seen by me and the Admin.

3. Is there a way to add notes on specimens (I see the option in 'catalog options' but I don't see it as a field in the 'catalogue entry')

Under "About Mindat" you'll find "The Mindat Manual"

When you open the form to create a new catalogue entry, the "Notes" field appears at the bottom.

Notes can be added or edited in a previously entered record on the form for that specimen, which can be opened by clicking on the "YourId" number in the first column in the list view.
