Techniques for CollectorsMicromounters in South America?

27th Jul 2013 20:19 UTCStephen Watts

Can anyone put me in contact with any micromounting collectors in

Chile and Peru? Thank you

Stephen,

I don't think there are any micromounters in Peru or Chile, just a few people that hope to make money by selling minerals, micro or not to those with hard currency willing to buy them.

There is a micromounter currently in Bolivia ;)

But yes, Stephen, in general Rock is right, there are no micromounters in any "Third World" countries, except for the occasional odd expatriate like myself.

Hello friends

I do not consider myself a dealer, rather a mineral amateur and I also collect micromounts, cabinet and bigger specimen. I do know very well Alfredo, and exchange emails with Rock. They both can witness that I do not live making money on minerals, of course I sell minerals with a chilean partner, but my personal goal is to know more, increase my collection and resources for seek rare and new species.

Cheers
