As in previous years we will host a “do-it-yourself” meeting. I will supply a room, table, chairs, electric outlets, extension cords, digital projector, ice and basic snacks and drinks (water). You supply the microscopes, snacks you like and drinks you like. There is no cost for the meeting. Meals are DIY or area restaurants.

There are lots of motels in the area: (* closest to campus, but none are more than 5 minutes away)

Parking is available across the road from the building in the faculty parking lot off John Long Drive. Arriving from the north or south, turn northeast onto George Wallace (large electronic Troy University sign at the corner of Hyw 231 and George Wallace). Go through one light and up the hill. Second street to the left is John Long drive (just before the main campus entrance at the second stop light). Go ¼ mile and parking lot entrance is on your right. Gate will be up during intercession. Please park in spaces marked “faculty and staff".

Saturday: 9AM to 9PM

Sunday: Available if anyone is interested.



Please bring any presentations you would like to make, and give away material for the meeting. Discussions on syenite minerals, Southeastern US minerals and mineral imaging are likely.
