Mineral Exchangesunusual fluorite crystals wanted

21st Feb 2012 17:31 UTCMichel Blondieau

Hello,

For a friend who is studying fluorite, I'd like to obtain small fluorite crystals with unusual forms.

Best are the ones not exceeding a few millimeters showing complex forms.

If you have any, don't hesitate to send a mail; we'll can probably do a swap. Find my list here :

membres.multimania.fr/minbe/trade-all-e.html

Sorry for publicities on my trade page; I cannot destroy it.

Thanks

Michel

Hi there Michel.

I just wanted to let you know that I have Blue John Tumble stones that are polished. As shown in the picture, it is a collection of Rare Blue John Fluorite Crystal rocks.

I also have a lot of various polished Rainbow Fluorite Slices in various sizes.

I look forward to hearing your thoughts.

Many thanks,

Mark Webster

Hi Mark,

Thank you for your mail but my friend try to find all possible fluorite crystals. Halas, he has no interest in polished fluorite even if it is the rare Blue John.

Again thanks for your help.

Best regards,

Michel

Hi Michel,

I might have a fluorite sample with corner modifications, either the trapezohedron or the trisoctahedron modification on cube - have to do a search and check further. If I find it, I'll add it to the other samples heading your way.

Hi again Michel.

Many thanks for your reply.

I do also have other crystal forms of the Blue John. The first picture is a 2.99KG large museum piece and the other one is about 4cm in width and length.

I do have a lot of other crystal Blue John samples.

Many thanks,

Mark
