The mineral occurs as lens-like or nest-like accumulations consisting of tabular and elongated tabular crystals up to 0.8 mm. long and 0.1 mm. wide, showing hexagonal outline, in veinlets cutting amesite-fluorite-muscovite rock and fluorite-magnetite-diopside-vesuvianite-andradite skarn.
