GeneralCreedite from Santa Eulalia Area
21st Oct 2008 12:08 UTCJon Mommers
There were a number of labels with the specimen, the more recent list the specimen as being from the New England Mine. Santa Eulalia. However, the oldest type written label sites the location as being from the England Mine.
There is a handwritten note on the back of this label stating: "OB. Late G Bideaux, July 1976." The hand writing was by Brian Shelton and one of his labels also accompanies the specimen, Brian used the abbrev. OB for obtained on the reverse side of his labels.
I have checked the listings on Mindat for Creedite and no listing appears for either the New England or England Mine. The specimen is very similiar to those photographed from the West Camp, however these were collected in the early 1980's (?) according to their descriptions.
I am hoping that someone maybe able to help with any further location details.
Cheers
Jon
