Fakes & FraudsIs this Moldavite real?

I am new to this forum and not a mineral expert at all -- just a fan of them, particularly in the form of jewelry/accessory (I know, women right?).
I would very much value your expert advice on a piece of moldavite I bought. I recently bought a pendant with turquoise and green amber because I thought it was pretty (yeah, I'm that kind of girl :-D). The third stone, according to the vendor, is moldavite. Haven't heard of it and I thought it looked ugly and fake. But I really liked the pendant so I bought it anyway. Then I thought, why not have the fakey replaced by a real one? And so I purchased one to have it fitted into pendant. Looks good to me, but like I said, I am no expert. I would appreciate your expertise in this area VERY MUCH. :-)
Thank you in advance.

Though difficult to tell from just a photo, it does indeed appear to be genuine.

can you post a photo taken outside in sunlight, front lit?
but, like Gary says, "it does indeed appear to be genuine"

Sadly, I can't agree. on the basis of your pics, that your piece is genuine. It gives me cause to doubt - but one can never be sure from a natural light photo of the exterior. If you really care to know, you need find someone both familiar with moldavite in particular, and equipped with an immersion microscope and the means to combine that with polarised lighting.
For your purposes, why not just settle for the fact that you like it and enjoy?
