GeneralOnline References

Hi

Regarding online reference citations under mineral localities - perhaps it would be a good idea to add a month and year reference. Often these links no longer work. Perhaps they have been moved to another site/location. Knowing when the online reference worked may also help in determining where the reference is now located, such as known name changes etc,

Just a suggestion

Cheers

Keith

Agree wholeheartedly. With a date, it is simpler to use the internet archive to see if they have a copy of the information. Usually format of [date retrieved - date] after the link.

One of the reasons I really don't like these kinds of references. Also it can be difficult to determine exactly where they got the information and how good it is.

Agreed!

Even just a year after the citation can be quite helpful, as DVB mentions, to review the internet archive of that particular site. Adding a month/year would narrow it down further. Seems like a no-brainer to me.....
