Identity HelpI found this piece of Silver on the mineral quiz, and I was curious as to what these green splotches might be. Could anyone help identify it?

The matrix is either quartz or calcite, and I think it might be from the Keweenawan Peninsula.

-Thank you, Lalith

The green may be Annabergite and the piece possibly from Cobalt, Ontario.

Could be a silver specimen from the thirth oxidation zone of the Tsumeb mine.
Then the association was with malachite and zincolivenite.
But the picture is so blurry that I can not be sure at 100%.

Keep safe.

Paul De Bondt is right, this specimen is actually from Tsumeb. Green mineral is marked as cuprian adamite. For more info see:

I think that it's odd that the specimen was on the mineral quiz, but it doesn't seem to be in the Tsumeb gallery.  A link to the Mindat photo should have been provided from the start.

It would be this photo, just for reference.

Specimens in the user gallery should not appear in the mineral quiz.
If they are there, it is for a reason and in most cases, it's because they are blurry.

Keep safe.
